Behalve in de Deense verdediger Andreas Skovgaard en aanvaller Vaclav Cerny van Ajax is SC Heerenveen ook geïnteresseerd in het Engelse talent Reece Oxford, een twintigjarige centrale verdediger van West Ham United.
Oxford speelde vorige seizoen op huurbasis nog bij Borussia Mönchengladbach in de Duitse Bundesliga. Technisch manager Gerry Hamstra van Heerenveen was vrijdag in Londen om over een huurconstructie te onderhandelen.
Nach Frankfurt und Nottingham hat offenbar auch der SC Heerenveen in den Niederlanden Interesse an Reece Oxford (20) von West Ham United. Das berichtet der lokale 'Leeuwarder Courant'. Demnach war Sportdirektor Gerry Hamstra am Freitag zu Gesprächen in London über den Innenverteidiger. In diesem Fall geht es allerdings wohl nur um eine Leihe bis Sommer.
